Design Works is hiring an Assistant Project Manager in Edmonton!

We've got a brand new role in Edmonton!

Design Works is proud to be on the lookout for an Assistant Project Manager (APM). Operating out of our Edmonton office, you'll be joining a growing team and supporting the successful delivery of engineering projects from start to finish.

As an APM, you'll work closely with our Project Managers and technical teams to keep projects on track, on time, and on budget. Responsibilities include:

- Assisting with project coordination, scheduling, and documentation
- Tracking project deliverables and timelines
- Preparing and organizing project files, reports, and correspondence
- Communicating with internal teams, clients, and consultants to gather and distribute information
- Supporting proposal preparation and project setup in our management systems
- Assisting with invoicing, budget tracking, and contract administration
- Attending project meetings and recording meeting minutes
- Helping manage workloads and priorities to keep multiple projects running smoothly

The ideal candidate for this role has the following:

- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and project management tools
- Experience in an engineering, architecture, or construction environment is considered an asset
- Ability to adapt, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a high attention to detail
- Diploma or degree in business administration, project management, or a related field is preferred
