Aditya Chhetri is an Energy Modeller at Design Works Engineering with a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta. His graduate research focused on minimally intrusive retrofit strategies to reduce energy waste in buildings, using tools like Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), field testing, and energy modelling. He explored passive solar solutions—such as window shading—to improve building performance across Western Canada’s climate zones.
Aditya’s passion for sustainable design started during his academic work, where he recognized the significant role buildings play in global energy consumption. Now, he applies that knowledge to real-world projects that prioritize efficiency and impact
Outside of work, Aditya enjoys playing guitar, experimenting in the kitchen, and reading philosophical books. He’s excited to grow in his career, take on new challenges, and help shape smarter, more sustainable buildings across North America.
